Chapman University

Orbit

A student-led coworking group for Chapman founders.

Orbit is an ongoing builder community. We meet weekly to work on real projects, share feedback, and help each other move faster.

Whether you're just starting or already shipping, Orbit gives you a focused environment to build alongside other serious students.

Philosophy
"Ambitious people are rare, so if everyone is mixed together randomly, as they tend to be early in people's lives, then the ambitious ones won't have many ambitious peers.

When you take people like this and put them together with other ambitious people, they bloom like dying plants given water.

Probably most ambitious people are starved for the sort of encouragement they'd get from ambitious peers, whatever their age."
Paul Graham
How It Works
01

Weekly Working Sessions

Get in the room. Put your head down. Make progress. Orbit's core is a weekly working session with other students building real things. Just time, space, and shared momentum.

02

Tailored Support

As you build, you'll get opportunities for focused sessions with experienced founders, PMs, and early-stage investors.

03

Demo Days

We run demo days throughout the year. When your product's ready, you'll have the chance to present it to people who can help — founders, operators, and investors who know what early looks like.

04

Peer Feedback Loops

Every few weeks, we run lightweight feedback sessions. You'll get the chance to walk through what you've built, ask for specific input, and see what others are working on.

05

Shared Resources

As part of Orbit, you'll get access to a growing library of founder resources — tactical guides, founder templates, helpful tools, and notes from guest mentors. We're also partnering with select companies to offer startup credits and perks — things like cloud compute, analytics tools, and developer infra — so you can save time and money while you build.

06

Stay in Orbit

Orbit isn't a one-time cohort. Once you're in, you're part of the cohort. Founders stick around — to build, give feedback, or share what they've learned.
